Greg Fitzsimons

Project Manager, Rail Division

Years at Midwest Mole: 2
Meet Greg Fitzsimons. He is the project manager of our Railroad Division. Greg joined us in June of 2019 after working for a railroad contractor for several years. His primary role is to work with a major U.S. Class I railroad and our project team, helping to address the upgrade of their drainage culverts throughout their system. He enjoys working with the railroad and helping to advance and modernize railroad drainage.

To date, Greg’s favorite project was an 80’ jack and bore project that was in Hanson, KY. Originally the access route was going to be challenging, but with a properly thought out plan and a little luck, the project ended up coming in under budget and ahead of schedule. This falls in line perfectly with one of our core values: “There’s always a way. When work gets tough, and it will, we must persevere and push onward. There’s a solution to every problem, even if we must first step back to move forward and find our way through it.”

Greg has some great words of wisdom for a new employee. “Work hard and learn as much as you can. Understanding people and business is an invaluable asset that can be taken wherever you go in life.”

When Greg isn’t in the office or travel to job sites, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and adorable daughter. He also likes to hunt and lift weights.
