The Latest Tech Produces the Best Results
Every day, there are new technological advancements that make our work easier, safer, and more efficient. At Midwest Mole, we take pride in using all the latest tech to help our people do the best possible work on each job site.
Earth Pressure Balance Machine
Earth Pressure Balance Machine (EPBM) tunneling utilizes a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) that allows for installations in unstable ground. The ground at the cutting face is supported by earth pressure, by balancing the advancement of the tunnel with the discharge rate of the excavated soil, contained through a screw auger. The EPBM monitors data, pressure, position, speed, torque, and flow in order for the operator to accurately achieve maximum productivity. Because of its unique advantages, this system allows our expert operators to tunnel in soft, wet, and other unstable ground conditions quickly and safely.
CCTV Sewer Inspection Camera
These robotic CCTV cameras are remotely controlled, and can be inserted through existing sewer entry points in pipes anywhere from 1.5” to 144" in diameter. CCTV video inspection is the most thorough and least invasive means of examining underground sewer pipes available.
Small Boring Unit
A Small Boring Unit (SBU) has the technology and cost-effective capacity to bore through and excavate solid rock, which is achieved by using unique small-diameter cutting heads. Fitted with miniature disc cutters, the SBU is connected to the lead casing to help create a high-thrust bearing. This exceptional unit is steerable, and can help uphold specified lines and grades, for more accurate control and installation.
Mavic Pro Drone
Drones greatly reduce the labor and time required to produce accurate surveys. Drones eliminate much of the human error involved in the process, and have the ability to capture necessary data much faster than traditional methods.
