Midwest Mole was a subcontractor under Primco Inc to install a new 280’ LF run of 48” steel casing as part of a road-widening project for INDOT.

The purpose of the project was to replace an existing failing culvert. Our crews replaced the culvert with the new steel casing to handle stormwater well into the future.

The proposed method for the job was a conventional jack and bore. While we were able to complete a majority of the run with jacking, there were multiple obstructions along the way that led to our crews hand mining about 60’ of it.
