Summer Gray is the Payroll Director here are Midwest Mole. It is nothing short of extraordinary that she can processes payroll and taxes for over 100 people on a weekly basis by herself. In addition to this, she also handles monthly Union reporting and our Accounts Payable.

She is a hard-working individual that has gained many skills in her 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Starting as a receptionist for a concrete company, she went back to school to obtain her associates degree and discovered her passion for numbers.

She joined Midwest Mole in 2018 as a bookkeeper and advanced to Payroll Director a year and a half later. “I took the job at Midwest Mole because I love the small family atmosphere here and what we stand for.  I love that we believe in quality over quantity.  It is hard to find a company that still believes this way.  Now after 2 years it is the leadership that keeps me here. We have amazing people that I really enjoy working with!”

When she is not spending her time crunching numbers, she is busy being a mom to four wonderful children, three of which are in sports. With all that running between football fields and gyms, she still somehow finds time to travel with her family to see new places. In her words, “There’s a beautiful world out there to see and we take advantage every chance we get.”
